Procedures Used In Making The Film Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

Posted on June 13th, 2009 in Marketing | No Comments »

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a science fiction/action adventure film. It is due for release in the UK on June 19 and in the US on June 24. Transformers fans are keenly waiting for the film to be released so they can find the likely thrills out of watching the film.

When making a science fiction/action packed movie, a number of techniques are used by the filming crew to see that they have captured each and every scene according to the requirements. The setting up of the set, the lighting, the simulation and the action has to be captured correctly. This is the work of the movie director – to visualise how each scene is to be filmed.

Now, we all know that the Transformers 2 movie is about humans and robots. The robots (who are the Autobots and the Decipticons) are battling with each other for control of a human. The robots are not just robots that are walking or flying around. They can transform their bodies. An innocent-looking car becomes a walking, fighting machine. A fighter jet transforms into a tank. Several construction vehicles join together to form a huge robot.

Firstly, to show these transformations and to place them in the required scenes with the correct dimensions requires certain filming techniques to be used. Secondly, a lot depends on the cameraman who films a shot. The movements of a camera, zooming in and out, all these special skills are required by a cameraman. The expressions of the actors, actresses and the robots have to be captured correctly to be shown and to maximise effects.

Since the influx of computer graphics and computer activity, they have now become a most vital part of motion picture making. Simulating the movement of a robot is now done with the aid of computer animations. Hasbro, the renowned toy makers, helped the filming squad in making the robots. Hasbro has a line of Transformers toys, among other science fiction series toys. So for showing the robots transforming from one form to another, Hasbro’s services were required.

Some scenes of the movie have been shot on location in Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries. The pyramids of Egypt are filmed in the movie, and the major battle takes place over there. The filming unit used a 50 foot crane to take some shots of the pyramids. Then a mock-up of the pyramids was created on a set, and shots of a robot tearing apart a pyramid in search of a hidden temple within it were shot on the sets.

The main technique that was used in the filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was putting the robots in scale with the scene. Scaled down versions of the robots were made and then filmed separately. They were then super imposed on the backdrop scenes. Their movements and expressions were computer simulated. Their sizes in relation to the humans were also made using computer simulation.

There are a variety of procedures that are used by movie-makers to capture shots. Once filmed, they are edited, watched and quiet often retaken. The director examines each outline in the minute point, to make certain the whole thing blends into scale. Making an action-packed film requires a very skilled filming crew.

Sinful PPC Management

Posted on June 12th, 2009 in Marketing | No Comments »

Are you offending the Google gods by committing any of the hideous sins of ppc management? Most adwords advertisers do not realize it but there are several things the Google gods absolutely hate when it comes to adwords management.

Do you organize your adgroups? This one step can determine success or failure for your Google Adwords campaigns. You have a couple hundred or possibly several thousand keywords, right? Well if you are doing like most Google Adwords advertisers and cramming all of your keywords into the same adgroups then you are making a huge mistake. Did you know that Google expects to see all of your keywords broken up and organized into very closely knit, relevant adgroups? As a matter of fact if you are NOT organizing your keywords in this way then you are blatantly sinning against the Google gods and they will punish you for it!

If your keywords are put into adgroups with keywords that are not relevant to each other then Google is going to charge you more money for your clicks. Why? Since you crammed all of your keywords into the same adgroups you pretty much told Google that your campaign has no relevancy. You see, organizing your adgroups correctly is a huge part of achieving “Relevancy” in ppc management. You should definitely know by now if you know anything about ppc management that relevancy is the key factor in decreasing your overall click costs and the secret to getting high ad placement in Google without having to pay near as much as your competitors .

Here is what you must do to satisfy the Google gods and save your adwords campaigns from their terrible wrath. Immediately take all of your keywords and begin to organize them into separate adgroups with each keyword phrase in an adgroup having a common keyword or theme. If you have an extremely large campaign with tons of keywords, do not worry. There are several keyword organizing tools online that are 100% Free. For instance you can download the free program Adwords Editor and use the “keyword grouper tool” to divide your keywords into relevant adgroups.

If you want to have any success in PPC management it is crucial that you organize your keywords just the way Google expects. The Google gods will definitely NOT reward a campaign that lacks relevancy. If you have not organized your keywords properly you may still have a chance to redeem yourself if you fix them now.

However, if you really want to get on Google’s good side you could organize your keywords like the ppc management professionals. Try putting each keyword into its own adgroup.

Search Engine Optimization Secrets Revealed

Posted on June 10th, 2009 in Marketing | No Comments »

After writing a book about SEO and even publishing my own SEO products and services, I still seem to get the same question over and over again. That question is simply what the secret is to top search engine rankings. Other than applying SEO best practices, there are really only a couple of SEO techniques that stand above all else.

I consider some SEO techniques to be true secrets because they are not generally talked about or shared by others. You might wonder why this is. Simply put, there are a number of reasons why these secrets are not shared and it often has to do with the fear that as more use these secrets the less effective they will be.

Anyone constantly focused on SEO and you are anything like me, you probably want the fastest and quickest way to put your website on top of major search engine rankings. You know the value of having the number one position and want to get there.

As someone making a living online, I can promise you that having the top ranking for competitive keywords is all it is cracked up to be. The difference between a number one ranking and number 4 ranking is the difference between making a living online and making next to nothing.

I’m sure by now you are wondering what some of these secrets are. I am happy to share one at no charge. Keep in mind that not every secret is all that esoteric or unique. It is more common that these secrets are traditional methods applies in a new way. That is how I view SEO related information because its rare that you find something that is all that new or different. More often than not, techniques are simply modified to get a result.

Here is the secret you have been waiting for. Simply put, if you want to achieve top rankings for any keyword you just have to follow the same strategy used by the top ranked website for that keyword or keyword phrase. This strategy is incredibly simple but not used by at least 98% of people doing business online. To duplicate the success of your number one competitor discover the techniques he is using to achieve the top position on search engine results.

The first place and most important place to start is with back links. Back links are links to your competitors website. These links often contain link text that includes the keywords that they are achieving top results for. You want to duplicate this strategy and attempt to get links from the same websites.

The obvious challenge here is not only finding who is linking to your competitor, but to actually build links from the same web pages. This if often easier said than done. The good news is that there are a number of software programs that can help you do this. I’ve personally used a number of them and can tell you that they work.

Use this technique to improve your rankings. Simply learn what makes your competitor rank in the number one position. Specifically, find out who is linking to him and how they are linking. By duplicating the linking strategy, you can dramatically improve your website ranking for the specific keywords you choose.

Beijing – A Good Place to Travel

Posted on June 8th, 2009 in Marketing | No Comments »

Last summer I had a chance to go to the capital of China, Beijing, and stayed for a month. Everyone knows that the Olympic Game was held there last summer, but I was there before Olympics, so I have avoided the crowd and could enjoy my trip.

I went to Beijing for an exchange program and stayed at one of the top university in China, the Tsinghua University. It is a large University with spectacular view and environment, many famous celebrities of China have studied there.

Beijing is quite hot in summer, but travelers love this kind of weather, right? Beijing snows in winter, hence it is more suitable to visit Beijing in summer, than in winter, personally I think. When I was there, I went everywhere with friends to find out the beauty of Beijing.

If you love history, the Great Wall and the Forbidden City are ‘must-go’ items. They are really very gorgeous! But history is not the only face of China! If you love shopping, there are large shopping malls with brand name shops, and there are many ‘not expensive’ stalls selling Chinese cultural souvenirs on the streets especially on the one called “Wangfujing Street’, you can get anything you like with negotiable prices!

But Beijing is not only for history lovers. For shopaholics, there are many plazas in Beijing and you just won’t get bored. There are also many little stalls on ‘Wangfujing Street’ that you can get very low price stuff there!

If you like to eat delicious food, Beijing can fulfill your wants! You must eat Beijing roast ducks! They are really very delicious. If you want to eat special snacks, there are many little stalls in ‘Wangfujing’ and you should try all the delicious things there. If you are brave enough, my favorite suggestion is fried scorpion! They are very crispy!

’798 Artwork Zone’ is a nice place for art-lovers. Artworks are everywhere in the zone and more than two to three days are needed for you to appreciate all the masterpieces there. They are all very lovely.

There are many more interesting things in Beijing. I just cannot list out all of them. If you are planning a trip, why not make Beijing your next stop? I am sure you will have fun there with a very low cost!

Dissecting The Easy Home Business

Posted on June 7th, 2009 in Marketing | No Comments »

You may wonder if there is such a thing as an easy home business. Too many individuals, in the world of network marketing promote the idea as an easy home business. However, truth be told, it is challenging when you are first starting your business.

The industries disproportionate rate of failure is caused by this misinterpretation. Many new entrepreneurs presume this business is effortless. They think all they need to do is signup and the business will work by itself.

In the steadfast report by Ann Sieg, The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing, she makes an interesting point. She tells us that multitudes of entrepreneurs come into networking marketing following news that tells them all they have to do is register and provide little time and effort.

All they have to do is offer a name list and then attend the meetings with their consumers, while their up-line sells the idea. Those who run MLM businesses know there is more to it than that.

The term, easy home business, produces an overnight riches mentality. Those who have this frame of mind will toil, when building their own business at home. This kind of thinking, conditions the mind to believe you do not have need to put any effort into the business. If it happens and it wills that things do not work out that way, you will look for other means of generating a profit.

Too many dead carcass MLMs litter the network marketing landscape, because of this type of mind set. This is the biggest reason why more than ninety percent of start-ups eventually quit their business within the first 3 months.

Internet network marketing is becoming a prominent business model and the same principles apply. Jump in headfirst when someone lures you in with a promise of getting rich quick with hardly any effort.

Online network marketing has a direct learning curve to overcome. It will take time to learn and understand how to work successful online strategies that are attractive to others.

However, once you do understand how it works it is much easier. It will amaze you as to how easy it is to attract potential consumers. Then, you will understand how this is an easy home business.

Tracking Your PPC Campaign

Posted on June 6th, 2009 in Marketing | No Comments »

A large part of PPC advertising campaign management consists of tracking different aspects of your campaign. When you do this you will be very sure what keywords are drawing the people and which ones are pulling in the targeted visitors and sales. There are several ways that you can track your PPC campaign.

Using the PPC engine tracking system is a good way to track your PPC advertising campaign keywords. It will show you how much traffic each keyword is bringing in. This is important because you can judge the value of each keyword in this way.

Another tool provided by the PPC engine will calculate your sales conversions, or the total number of clicks you receive per sale. This figure is a key to your success because it will give you a reference point for bidding and keyword adjustment.

Website stats are a good way to see how much traffic is coming to your website. You can also see which page visitors are coming to more frequently and how long they are staying. This helps you to monitor your campaign in greater depth. It will also show any sales that have been made and when the visitor came to your sales page.

Landing pages are a good example of how your site statistics are useful. By having a landing page for each campaign, you will see which is more effective and what kind of sales conversions each is generating.

A vital part of tracking your PPC advertising campaign is recording your results. By simply creating a spreadsheet you will be able to record dates and times of traffic and sales conversion. By keeping a history like this, you will be able to see how any tweaking of your campaign has affected your bottom line.

Tracking is a crucial part of your PPC advertising campaign management. If you are still not sure what to do, there is help out there for you. Google Adwords, along with most other PPC engines, offers tools and tutorials on a wide variety of PPC related subjects. Reading through this information is highly recommended. If there are any questions you can’t answer on your own, the engines also offer a customer service staff available to help you.

If all of this seems a bit overwhelming to you or you find you don’t have the time necessary to devote to such things, there are many management teams who can help you with your PPC advertising campaigns. These management services will test your campaign and help you achieve optimal performance. When looking for such a service it is recommended that you do your homework first. A good service can improve your success greatly, but you don’t want to end up in a contract with a company who has little to offer you and your PPC advertising campaign.

Internet Advertising for Lawyers: How to Write for the Internet

Posted on June 5th, 2009 in Marketing | No Comments »

When you approach the art of writing copy for a legal website, it is important to keep a couple of things in mind. You not only need to explain complex legal issues in a way that your average person can understand, you also need to make sure you keep the attention of your visitor. This is difficult to do considering the fleeting attention span of web users these days.

Writing for the web is unique from other types of more traditional writing.

To be successful with your lawyer marketing efforts, you need to gain an understanding of how to write good web copy.

Even though writing for the web involves the important tasks of keyword placement and search engine optimization, for this article I want to approach writing from the perspective of a visitor to your site. I would like you to think of the suggestions that follow from the standpoint of usability and engagement with your site.

Here are a few pointers to get you started off the right foot:

1. Numbered Lists – People on the internet like numbered lists. They are easy to scan and extract data from. Be sure to include lists when writing for the internet.

2. Write as if you are engaged in conversation – People don’t want to read obvious marketing pitches, or legal speak. They want to interact with another human being. Write with your own, professional voice.

3. Stay away from legalese or lawyer speak – Your average website visitor will have no idea what you are talking about. Since it is so easy to click over to another site, take the time to write in a way that your average individual can understand.

4. Use graphics and photos when appropriate – People respond well to graphics and photos. They are drawn to them on the page. Photos can set an emotional mood and make the page more interesting.

By implementing the suggestions in this article you will see an improvement with the usability and engagement of your web copy.

I Hate Writing Articles – Isn’t There An Easier Way?!

Posted on June 4th, 2009 in Marketing | No Comments »

The benefits that articles provide are putting a site high in the ranking in search results of keywords and keyword phrases that pertains or are relevant to his or her site. They also provide attraction to website visitors when they are appreciated and is linked to your site from another site or newsletter. Articles provide for the increase of the confidence and trust levels of customers to your site and company.

Many articles are also beneficial to both company and its traffic. When the readers like the articles, they would tell more of their friends, family and peers and recommend your site to them, providing for a larger volume of traffic. You get bigger sales if your traffic trusts and believes in you. Your product or services would be much easier to sell when they know you know what you are doing and talking about.

So ok, we have established that articles are very important to a site and to business. Articles are crucial and to keep ahead in the game, a site must have an article, it is imperative. There is one dilemma though, not many people like writing articles.

Many website owners would rather spend their time on something else, and unless youre a big time company, you dont have the necessary resources to use on a pool of article writers. Plagiarism or copying of other articles is frowned upon and could easily get you into trouble, worst case scenario; a hefty fine and jail time.

So what are the other options?

Well, for starters if you hate writing articles and you cant afford to hire people to write for you then dont. Get free articles. The first place to look at for free articles is the public domain. Here you wont have problems with copyright infringement and the following penalties and fines if you get caught for plagiarism.

Public domain articles are articles freely given to the public for public use. You can do whatever you want with it. You can place it on your site, name it as yours, put it in a newsletter its you decision. Always remember though that you will have to choose articles that is very relevant to your site.

The downside to public domain articles is that since it is free for everybody, many of your competitors may have access to them as well. Since every site needs to be original and unique even though you have the same niche, this could be a predicament. You may also have to edit them a bit to place more keywords and keyword phrases to make them better.

Another way to get free articles is to allow other sites which has the same subject or topic as yours to submit articles to your site. This would be only to augment your existing content or else all your articles would be leading to other sites since these articles would have resource boxes with them that could link or direct the readers to their site. Thats why it is important to have your own articles; you cold use them to link your site to other sites as well.

But, to truly feel the impact of what a good article to you, go for original ones. There are many article writers who do part time and freelance article writing jobs that charges only minimal fees. You can get good articles that have all the keywords and keyword phrases you need and people are looking for.

The investment you made for these articles would be worthwhile because you could use them for all the benefits you could offer. You hold copyrights to them and you will be able to use them anyway you want. As your articles help you in building your business and your site, you will have more articles to write and maybe then you wont be having second thoughts about articles.
